A dojo is a Japanese term that means “place of the way. “

The Freelancing Dojo offers pathways to maximizing your strength, whether you’re just about to pursue freelancing or transitioning from freelancing to business building.

We decided to name it The Dojo because a dojo is a training hall for heavy combat training, and in the case of samurai, it is where they would train in swordsmanship, archery, and other forms of combat. In our case, we train every person who enters the dojo in every aspect of freelancing, from skill building and enhancements to sales to scaling up.

The dojo would typically be an ample, open space with a wooden floor and a raised platform at one end for the sensei or teacher. The students would sit on the floor in front of the sensei and learn the basics of swordsmanship, such as how to hold the sword, move, and strike. They would also learn about the philosophy of bushido, the code of conduct for samurai.

Inside TFD, in addition to mental training, a 'Dojan' (a term we use inside - not a formal term) is forced to immerse themselves in real-life situations, scenarios, and even client work.
